Description:
Dark brown cockade fan with pleated fabric leaf, metal hinge and wood guards. When opened fully, the leaf of the cockade fan unfolds 360 degrees to form a complete circle, and the two guards are held together by a metal loop to form a handle. When closed, the pleated leaf retracts into a self—case within the guards. This may have been a mourning fan.
