Description:
Folding fan with single fabric pleated leaf. Translucent fabric leaf is finely embroidered with silver thread, showing a single bird in flight amid a flowering tree branch. Bone or ivorine (imitation ivory) sticks are pierced; guards are pierced and carved. Rivet has mother of pearl washers and a projecting pin which holds a double tassel connected by a braided and knotted cord.
