Description:
Indonesian brise fan. Translucent leaf segments of water buffalo hide are pierced and painted with black and metallic gold paint. Black plastic blades and guards are interconnected by monofilament. Animal hide loop is held by a screw and bolt replacing the original rivet. The age of this fan is difficult to determine, as it combines both traditional and modern materials and has been subject to repair.
