Description:
Folding fan with double fabric pleated leaf. The leaf front is red silk satin with silver polka dots woven into the fabric in an all over design. The leaf reverse is plain burgundy silk satin. Wood sticks and guards are covered with a thin veneer (paper?) that gives the frame a leather like appearance. Sticks are stamped with a metallic silver filigree pattern; guards are stamped with a simple outline. A plain metal loop is attached to the rivet.
